Following an EU-wide tendering process, Scott Tallon Walker Architects has been selected as the Design Team and KSN Project Management as The Digital Hub’s project management services provider up until 2022. Both companies will support the vision of The Digital Hub in developing a diverse and creative digital technology quarter in Dublin 8.

One of the key parts of The Digital Hub campus relates to a 2.6 acre site on the northside of Thomas Street, Dublin 8, known as ‘The Windmill Site’ and incorporates the well-known landmark of St. Patrick’s Tower and two of The Digital Hub’s flagship office spaces comprising ‘Digital Depot’ and ‘The Grainstore’. Work on the masterplan for The Windmill Site will be conducted on a phased basis with the initial focus on completing a cost benefit analysis and feasibility study for the site. It is expected that masterplan will be concluded by the end of 2019 and will likely comprise of a mixed-use development including potential for a public space amenity.

Reacting to their appointment for this service contract, David Cahill, Director, Scott Tallon Walker Architects, said: “We have had an involvement with the Liberties area going back to the ROSC Exhibition in 1984 when the Guinness Hop Store was redeveloped to provide an exhibition space for the creative arts.  In 2000 we were appointed to adapt the building to provide research space, and we see this latest appointment to The Digital Hub as a continuation of this journey and we are delighted to be involved. We also look forward to being part of the development team tasked with providing a vibrant, stimulating and sustainable urban regeneration project.”

Director of KSN Project Management Mark O’Neill said: “The Digital Hub project reflects the innovative ethos and collaborative approach that KSN PM take to all of our work and we are really looking forward to working with the team at The Digital Hub using our blend of new and established project management practices on this unique project.”
