SOTRALENTZ Packaging : blow-moulded industrial packagings

With nearly 40 years of expertise in the manufacture of IBCs and industrial packaging by extrusion-blowmoulding, the High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) solutions proposed by SOTRALENTZ Emballage come across as an effective alternative.

Resulting from advanced development and “UN” certified, our industrial packaging from 20 to 1 000 litres is compliant with the UNO recommendations and meet the ADR/RID/IMDG regulations in force for the packaging, transportation and storage of dangerous materials, chemical, agro-food and pharmaceutical products.

In addition, in 1992 SOTRALENTZ created a network for collection and recycling of containers (IBC/GRV) all over the world. Thus, on simple request, SOTRALENTZ Recycling Service collects the used containers of SOTRALENTZ make to recycle them and recover them for reuse in an approved processing centre.

SOTRALENTZ PACKAGING is also a founder member of the association ECOFUT (www.ecofut.org) that actively contributes to protection of the environment by participating in the recovery and reuse of the used jerrycans.

Some history

At the start of the seventies, which saw the merger of the companies Lentz and Sotral and of the activities of heavy metal work and welded wire mesh, there appeared a rapidly expanding market: Plastics.

From 1972, SOTRALENTZ decided to use the resources of this innovative material and to the metals sector add a new division reserved for the transformation of High Density Polyethylene through the technique of extrusion blow-moulding.

The huge industrial potential of this material allowed a rapid diversification of products (manufacture of plastic jerrycans, drums, containers, fuel oil tanks, septic tanks and also films and plastic bags) and led to a specialisation in two distinct trades: habitat and packaging.

The lightness and ergonomic nature of HDPE allowed the development of more and more efficient products adapted to specific requirements.

True to its culture of service that it has adhered to since its beginnings, the company has a constant capacity for innovation. The pioneering spirit of SOTRALENTZ gave birth in 1980 to the first 1,000 litre container protected by metallic wire mesh (wire mesh developed by SOTRALENTZ CONSTRUCTION).

The advantages of this modular container that can be entirely disassembled and reconditioned are recognised throughout the world by all producers of liquid chemical, petrochemical or food products.
